Just a bit outside.
Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright had some control issues during Tuesday’s game against Cubs.
Wainwright was facing Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta with runners on first and second and nobody out in the fourth inning when he threw an 0-2 pitch over toward the first base line.
Both runners advanced on what was the wildest of wild pitches one can throw.
Wainwright struck Arreita out, then Albert Almora Jr. to end the inning unscathed.
The 35-year-old Cardinals pitcher is coming off a career-worst season, posting a 4.62 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.
He had Tommy John surgery in 2011 and has been relatively healthy since, landing on the disabled list just once, in 2015, with an Achilles tendon tear.
Whatever the reason for the wild pitch one thing is certain: 50 Cent just took a giant sigh of relief as even the professionals can screw up that bad.
