Retired Baltimore Ravens Pro-Bowl tight end Todd Heap accidentally killed his daughter in a freak accident Friday afternoon.
Heap was moving a truck in the driveway of his family’s Arizona home, did not see his three-year-old daughter in front of the vehicle, and accidentally struck her.
The child was taken to a local hospital after the accident and later died.
Heap, played for the Baltimore Ravens 2001 to 2012 and the Arizona Cardinals from 2011 to 2012, showed no signs of impairment when interviewed by the police, according to FOX10.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
