SEE IT: Umpire stomps on inflated condom that delayed Brewers-Cubs game

There was a rubber on the field at Miller Park Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t the one on the mound that delayed the Brewers’ game against the Cubs.

An inflated condom sailed above the Milwaukee diamond until it was unceremoniously smashed by umpire Jeff Nelson.

Preventing contraception from playing the field isn’t part of an umpire’s job description, but Nelson took all the credit he could by tipping his cap to the crowd.

His second-inning work provided much of the early entertainment with the Cubs already ahead, 5-0.
