Laugh… and learn English.
That’s what Chicago White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana picked up by watching “The Tonight Show.”
Once host Jimmy Fallon caught wind of the story, he invited Quintana to the set.
Quintana, who was born in Columbia, told Fallon how much he enjoyed the show and even demonstrated the language he’s picked up.
“You are awesome, you are so good, so awesome, so good, so great,” Quintana said imitating Fallon’s admiration for everything.
The pitcher returned the favor to Fallon by giving him a free Spanish lesson. Quintana taught him how to say “My name is Jimmy Fallon,” “I am host of ‘The Tonight Show’” and “I forgot my wallet. Can you pay for my thong.”
Quintana has gotten pretty good at English, but has struggled pitching this season.
He’s currently 0-3 with an ERA of 6.75 with the White Sox. The season is only three weeks old so he has plenty of time to turn things around.
