BMW is looking to activate sales for its slow moving hatch.
The Bavarian carmaker is giving the 2-Series Active Tourer a makeover in 2018. The small hatchback gets a fresh look and engines upgrades.
A new larger kidney-shaped grille dominates the exterior touch-ups along with a larger air intake in the front apron. At the rear BMW has slightly revised the rear apron and the exhaust, four-cylinder variants now also score twin tailpipes.
The Active Tourer now comes in a choice of 13 exterior colour options and with a variety of alloy wheels ranging from 16- to 19-inches.
Inside automatic models get a new gear selector, while wider seats in a range of trims like: cloth, Alcantara, Sensatec and leather round out a lightly revised cabin.
Upgraded petrol and diesel engine options help lower emissions and fuel use thanks to a reworked turbo among other alterations.
Active Tourer models also score the brand’s latest iDrive infotainment system that is accessed through wither a 6.5- or 8.8-inch touchscreen depending on specification.
Autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning are optional.
Full local specifications and pricing will be revealed at a later date.
